Analysis
This group reads a presentation and saves what it finds for later instructions: the text of a slide, how many slides there are, and the names of the objects on a slide. These instructions change nothing in the document.
Prerequisite: the workflow must already have a presentation created or opened (with Create presentation or Open presentation).
- Document: indicates which document in the workflow the instruction applies to. If left empty, the current document is used. If the document doesn’t exist, the instruction simply does nothing.
- Slide number: slides count from
1, so the first one is1. A slide that doesn’t exist is not an error: the instruction simply does nothing. - Saving a result: every instruction here has one or more “save … key” fields. If you leave them empty nothing is saved and the instruction has no effect.
Count Slides .pptx
Counts the slides of the presentation.
When to use it: to loop over the slides, or to check the deck is not empty before working on it.

Important behavior: hidden slides are counted too.
Get Slide Text .pptx
Saves the text of a slide, one line per paragraph.
When to use it: to carry what a slide says into another document, or to check it before deciding what to do next.

Important behavior: the text of every shape on the slide is included, in the order the shapes are stored. Speaker notes are not part of it.
List Shape Names .pptx
Saves the names of the objects on a slide — shapes, images, charts and tables.
When to use it: to find out what a slide holds before removing or changing something by name.

Important behavior: objects with no name are left out of the list. Objects inside a group are listed too.
